Welcome to Buckman School!

Hello New Kindergarten Students & Families! The week of August 26 - 29 is Ramp Up to Kindergarten week. During that time, all registered kinder families will be contacted by their teacher to schedule a 1:1 family appointment. It's a chance for you to connect, get to know each other, and for your students to visit the classroom. Students will then attend a full day of school on either the 28 - 29th with half of their class. The first day for all kindergartners is Sept. 2. Registration for 2026-27 Kindergarten will open February 28, 2026!

You can register online if ALL of the following apply:

Your child is NEW to PPS
Your students did NOT attend a PPS Pre-K locations: Boise-Eliot/Humboldt, Clarendon, Creston Annex, Dr. MLK Jr, Faubion, Grout, Jason Lee, Kelly, Marysville, Lent, Rosa Parks, Sacajawea, Sitton, Whitman, Woodlawn
Your student does NOT have an IFSP and did NOT receive services from Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP)
You are enrolling your child in your neighborhood school and NOT a CBO/Charter
You have an email address and access to a computer
